Nobody Should be Surprised by this News: Insidious 3 is in the Pipeline!!

Is it any surprise to anyone that Entertainment One, FilmDistrict and Sony have already announced that they are going forward on INSIDIOUS 3??  Let’s do the math:  The first INSIDIOUS, directed by James Wan and written by Leigh Whannell, was made for around $1.5mil and grossed $54mil.  INSIDIOUS: CHAPTER 2 was made for around $5mil and in it’s opening weekend took in $41mil!!!  I think I don’t need to say more on this subject.  There’s, of course, no casting news or plot details yet, but Deadline.com is reporting that Leigh Whannell is in place again to write the script.  No word yet on Wan’s involvement.  Wan is currently directing (gulp) FAST & FURIOUS 7!!  We better not lose Wan to big-budget, mindless, shitty franchises!!
